Hopefully our transfer budget will be a little more than this but it certain that money will be spent at the club this summer.

After releasing six fairly big name players last week Martin Allen will be looking to his threadbare Brentford squad so let's find out who the media are linking with Brentford ins and outs over the weekend.

Sam Sodje - As previously reported Sodje looks to be on his way out of Griffin Park with potential buyers coming from Blackburn of West Ham, from his comments it is evident that Sodje will be watching the Championship playoff final carefully to see if the Hammers get promoted. Brentford are expected to recieve around £500,000 for the Nigerian and £500,000 through clauses and other fees.

Jay Tabb - Another player who could potentially be on his way out of the club is being looked at by several Championship clubs including Derby and Sheffield United. Allen is obviously keen on keeping the young talent but could be tempted to sell if a great offer came in.

Olafur-Ingi Skularson - The Icelandic International has just been released by Arsenal and it is believed that Brentford are interested in offering the player a trial. He would be become on of a whole host of players who currently plays their football in the Coca Cola Leagues after being released from the Premiership and the club are interested in looking to see what he can do.

Carl Asaba - Set to be transfered by his club Stoke the 32 year old may be available on a free transfer. The striker would being in some much needed goals and also would being in experience which is required now that Burton has moved on, Allen may be looking to sign him on a pay as you play contract in the same way he did with Marcus Gayle.
