Rumour Mill Churnings - 21st May

Last updated : 22 May 2005 By Smallsy
Jamie Cureton - The Bees have apparently joined Swindon in the race to sign Jamie Cureton who is currently on a free transfer after being released by QPR over the last couple of weeks. Brentford were rumoured to be interested in the striker during the transfer window and the 'Stripes' attacking problems are known to all (-3) goal difference. Swindon boss Andy King is also interested in the player as he revealed today he expected Sam Parkin to move on this summer.....

Therefore logically.....

Sam Parkin - As the Swindon boss revealed over the weekend that he is looking for an attacker to potentially replace Parkin, the rumour mill has been suggesting that Sam Parkin could join the Bees over the summer. Parkin's impressive performances this season saw his score 24 goals this season, although the Bees have been linked with the player so have many clubs in the Championship.

Sam Sodje - As we reported yesterday Sam Sodje is reportedly interested in playing at a higher level at some point in his career and he hoped it had been this season with the Bees. The tall centre back has hinted that to futher his International career he needs to leave Griffin Park but no interested parties have yet been mentioned. It is hard to imagine that a top level club would come in for the Brentford defener however Championship clubs may keep a look out of the Bees don't progress 'sufficiently' next season.
