Down - but not out - yet

As one fan said to me yesterday before the match "today is the day that Brentford fans so desperately want - but I just want it to be over now!".

I feel pretty empty writing this - another kick in the teeth in reality. However, I am proud. Really really proud. The players gave their all - and the fans gave their all. They didn't let us down yesterday - like in the past and that gives me optimism for the future.

The ground was in elation when Rowlands superbly fired home - the support was fantastic. We have to do it again.

My mum has always told me after being dumped (and it happens far too often - something to do with the Bees I think!), to not look back at the past. You can treasure those great moments, but you have to look to the future. There is nothing that can be done about the past - the ifs and the buts. All we can do is our best to get behind every single one of those lads while the match is still going on in the next few weeks - WE HAVE TO.

I had a conversation with someone about my negativity. Basically the conversation said that my negativity would rub off on the players on the pitch and they were less likely to perform. So I go to Huddersfield next Sunday full of optimism. WE ARE GOING TO DO IT. If you dont believe - we have failed already. I think Micky Adams and Roberto Forzini may back up my thoughts on this.

We have beaten Huddersfield already - we can do it again. Lets not be arrogant about it - but the dream still is there.

Bee-lieve and get behind them - thats what Stevie Coppells barmy army deserve.
