A Q and A with...

This week before the Andy Scott benefit game we spoke to Leyton Orient fan Martin Scott, here's his responses to my questions...

1. Introduce yourself...name, age, occupation etc...?

Martin Scott, 53, sales manager. Moved to York 18 years ago but still regularly watch the O's.

2. What was the first match you attended and what was the score?

It was a pre season friendly around 1961 but I have no idea of  oppo or score

3. Whats your club set up like, manager, backroom staff etc...?

Manager is ex player Martin Ling, Asst Mgr is ex player Dean Smith and the Youth Team Mgr is of course Andy Scott. New physio just joined. New main stand and facilities open in August

4. How did you do last year?

Top in November, all the strikers got injured and we plummeted down the table, eventually finishing 11th

5. What were the highs and lows of 04/05 for the club?

As 4

6. Have you made any summer signings?

Yes - 5, the most significant being ex SPL player, Craig Easton

7 . Whats your team like? Who's your best player and is there anyone you believe could play at a higher level?

Hopefully given the summer signings it will be strong enough to challenge for a top 7 place. Best players are probably Matt Lockwood (defender) and Lee Steele (striker). Both could play at L1 level.

8. What are your aims for this season?

Promotion

9. Are there any Brentford players you feel that your club should be paticularily aware of?

Tempted to say Owosu but then I saw him play for Sheffield Wednesday and he was just so inconsistent

10. How do you think Brentford will do this season?

Sorry - no idea

11. Friendlies are a tough call but could you predict a winner and a scorleline for us?

Having already lost to Thurrock (?) in a pre season you will probably win about 3-1
