A Q and A with...

Last updated : 24 February 2006 By Smallsy
Ahead of the weekend's tie with Port Vale we spoke to a regular poster on the vale-mad.co.uk message board to hear her thoughts on the weekends League One game taking place at Griffin Park.

Tell us a bit about yourself? name, age, how long you've supported the club?

My Name is Susan Roper and I am a 31 year old Vetinarian from Newcastle-Under-Lyme. I have supported the Club since I was 5 and used to go along with my Father regularly.

First match attended?

My first game was on the 7th April 1980 at home against Wigan Athletic I still remember it today. We drew 1-1 and the noise when the player came out made me cry!!! I caught the bug from that day on.

How do you think your club is progressing this season, under achieving or over achieving??

This season we are under acheiving. We always seem to start brightly but tail off. We have been playing better against the good teams and dropping points against the less fancied sides. I think that speaks for itself.

Are you happy with your manager and backroom staff?

Martin Foyle is doing his best but some of us purists are waiting for Stoke City to clear out thier backroom staff at the end of the season and see the return of the Messiar John Rudge. He could be manager and run everything in my opinion. If only. But you never know stranger things have happened........

Are there any Port Vale players Brentford should look out for?

As I just said we are dwelling in medioricty so no real lights in my opinion. We seem to sell them on quick enough.

How do you think Brentford will do this season?

I hope Brentford will go up this season tho it concerns me for you with the sale of DJ. Still there seems to be enough left to take you all the way. And if you do go up hopefully it will weaken the league and give the rest of us a chance ;o)

Which Brentford player should Port Vale be most fearful of? if any?

Will be sorry not to see DJ play for you guys but I hear Sam Sodje is a tower of strength for you guys and Lloyd Owusu can be a hanful on his day.

Prediction for game

Prediction .... well sorry to say but 3-1 to Brentford. I hope not but I am a realist!

Thanks Sue for your contributions.
