Despite the unconvincingness of the team victory against Bristol City at the weekend, Martin Allen is determined that his side can beat Southend tomorrow,

"Saturday was a good win"

The Brentford manager was concerned however what the game was hard fought and fears it may take a lot of of his team before tomorrow's game,

"We never played that well in the first half and we need to make sure that doesnt happen. In the second half we were dominant, without giving our supports too much to be excited about"

Once again Lloyd Owusu scored for the Bees and the manager said,

"I was delighted he scored the winner. He has played a very important part in our recent run and all the acclaim has gone to others, and it's quite ironic in a game that wasn't his best he managed to bag the winner, sending us home happy and relieved"
