Allen disapointed by Bees slump

After being defeated in the fifth round of the FA Cup for the second season running, Martin Allen vowed that the Bees would not allow their promotion challenge falter for the second time in two years.

However after a recent defeat by Port Vale at home and after the draw with DOncaster last night Martin is baffeled by the recent 'slump' in Bees performances,

"It is difficult to put your finger on it but after the recent very good performances and the excitement of the FA Cup, for some reason confidense can rapidly deteriorate"

He however refused to blame his players run in the Cup for the two bad results,

"This often happens after being on top of your game as we were recently"

"Everyone over the past three days has been positive and supportive to help each other get through"

He does believe that the players form will turn and once again the Bees will be off and running,

"It's easy when it's all happening for you and you're playing with freedom. At the moment we're just experiencing the other side of that, but in the second half of yesterday's game we showed signs of life"

"I'm was delight with a point and our performance"
