With two draws in their last two games following a run of indifferent form throughout March, the manager of the month from February has not found it easy leading Brentford to a second top six finish in a row.

However with five games left to go and Allen refusing to comment on his sides chance of promotion he said that the performance against Bradford at home on Saturday was exactly what the team needs if they expect to achieve anything this year,

"They played with determination."

"In games before this we've hung on and that has not been goood for me in terms of cardiac arrest."

He continued,

"No one froze, hid or backed out. They all stood up to be counted and in the second half we played more like us at our best. I dont think anyone can cope with us when we play like that"

Allen was also delighted with the way his team coped with the pressure mentally,

"We've won games recently and not played as well as that. At this stage of the season its all about being resilient and mentally strong"
