Scoring the winning goal a couple of weeks ago against yeovil, Bees forward Alex Rhodes paid tribute to Martin Allen for sticking by him through his injury hell.

Troubled by knee problems since the middle of last year Rhodes finally made his come back in February this season and has started four games since his return from a potentially career threatening blow. Allen believes his faith has been rewarded by sticking by Alex Rhodes commenting,

"I am confident that he is beginning to show what he is capable of"

With the bees struggling for goals at the moment and jittering to draws against Bradford and Colchester in recent games Allen said,

"He scored a lot of goals, played very well and made me think that he could come back in during a recent run of games and training sessions"

"He can be a very important player for us, especially at home because he has a great rapport with the supporters, as well as being another attacking threat and a potential scorer"
