Allen ready for FA Cup challenge

A cheery and relexed Martin Allen spoke to the press this morning before travelling ahead of tomorrow's game with Rochdale. The boss and his team set off early this morning in a desperate rush to beat the traffic travelling North and also to conduct fitness tests on his minor doubts for tomorrow.

As far as other injuries go Allen said,

"Alex Rhodes is still about a month away but Ryan Peters should start traning next week. The only other casualty is Marcus Gayle who has not travelled with us because he picked up a thigh strain in training this week."

The Brentford boss spoke optimisitcally about his sides chances in the FA Cup relating to last weeks defeat,

"The FA Cup is special to everybody and after the disapointing performance las week it will need to be a big improvement all round to get into the draw for the next round."

He ensured fans however that the players minds will be focused on the game in front of them only,

"Confidence has been knocked but I'm sure you all like us feel that there is n point feeling sorry and regretting the past. It's no good burying our heads in the sand as only hard work can get us out of our current predicament."

The boss also thanked the fans for their support this week,

"Thank you to all the people that have sent me encouraging letters of support. I was naffed off and not feeling great but those letters gave me a big boost"
