After his side came through a tough game in Milton Keynes last night, Bees supporters will have been pleased to see that finally their winning duck in the last three games was broken.

Losing three on the spin, the club looked to be throwing away their chance of automatic promtion, but a Lloyd Owusu goal inside the first ten minutes gave Brentford their second win in March and volted them back above Huddersfield into second place in pole to claim promotion to the Championship next season.

Martin Allen naturally was pleased with the win,

"A big relief this morning after getting that important result last night."

He admitted though,

"At times we did rid our luck. But in recent matches its fair to say that things have gone against us"

He praised his players saying,

"Last night the players showed tremendous determination and discipline. They did their job within the team framework"

The boss was also praised the support his club recieved last night,

"The support again last night was absolutely superb, I saw you all jumping for job and when that penalty was missed and what a relief it was."
