Allen: 'Season is not over'

After his side were only able to reward the fans with a draw from their final home game of the season, Brentford manager Martin Allen was disapointed that luck once more didnt go his teams way.

Three points behind the second automatic spot and with rivals Colchester playing at Yeovil next week, a side with seemingly nothing to play for, it looks as if brentford will once more be in the end of season playoffs if they wish to gain promotion to the Championship.

Allen said,

"It was obviously disapointing to concede such a late goal."

"We're not the only team it happens to so we can't be too disheartened but obviously the players are disapointed."

In no willing mood to settle for a playoff place the manager believes the there is still all to play for in the final game of the regular season. With a better goal difference than Colchester all it will take is a home win for th Glovers and an away win for the bees to send the club up automatically,

"The season is far from over yet."

"We played well and created plenty of opportunities but unfortunately didn't take them. We should have had it all wrapped up by half-time. "

He also stated,

"Even then we didn't look in any trouble at the back and I don't know whether it was bad luck of failing to do the simple things and it has gone against us again. Having said that I can't ask anymore of the players because they gave everything."
