Allen up for the Cup

In a revealing interview with the BBC Brentford manager Martin Allen is profiled in depth ahead of this weekends cruch tie against Charlton.


After beating Southend 2-0 on Tuesday the boss takes his team into the game at the Valley full of confidence and on a winning run.

The FA Cup is a great leveller," added Allen. "Anything can happen in the FA Cup, I don't know why, but it does."

"It will be a tough game because Charlton are full of international, big-money players, but on the day who knows?"

After achieving so much with Brentford in his short spell at the club the boss is trying to better last seasons achievements with the FA Cup run and reaching the playoffs.

The boss spoke on the change of style which the Bees have undergone this season,

"We have tried to adapt our style as we have got better, fitter and more technical players, and to try and pass and play better football."
