Beginning plans for next season it appears that Martin Allen believes that Brentford have a good chance of going places in League One next year.

He confrmed today that he had released several players on free transfers and taken up options on a couple of players contracts, but to those who will definately be part of the Brentford squad next season he urged them to wake up and work hard in a bid to be part of his plans next year,

"Some of the players no need to be well rested after along campaign but quite a few have been informed of the necessity and urgency to work hard though the summer if they are going to make a mark at this club."

"I will bring you up to date as soon as things happen and give you the truth no matter what. Now is not the time, it has been a busy couple of days and I need time to reflect."
