Boss looks back on Saturday and forward to Tuesday

Martin Allen seemed in buyant mood this morning as he announced that the club had no major injury worries ahead of the game against Chesterfield.


"It must be said there was a great atmosphere at the game on Saturday" Allen said,

"The supporters respected the passion and commitment of the players and also I think they enjoyed the players confidence in posession"

Allen also preaised the players commitment despite Skulason and Newman both being out injured,

"The others have stepped up to the mark and done very well."

"It has convinced me that the players in the squad will not just go out and do a job but they will do a good job"

He reported also that the youth team had an encoraging 3-3 draw at home to Gillingham.

The manager then spoke of his delight at returning to Cheltenham tomorrow,

"I spent many years travelling all over the country with my dad, watchedthem and trained with them when he was the manager. I used to sit on the bench with him and go to team meetings with him. It will be a pleasure to return"
