Heading for a second promotion in two years Southend and Steve Tilson have over achieved by heading most of League One this season.

Favourites for relegation after coming up through the playoffs last year, Tilson and his South Coast team have been buyed by ex-West Ham player Freddy Eastwood and his goal scoring talents.

Pacey, aware and a natural finisher the twenty two year old still has a big future ahead of him, despite being rejected by his home town club at a young age. Brought in after a spell of non league football Eastwood has been a revelation scoring over twenty goals last season and has repeated the feat this year in a division higher.

Scoring from all ranges and angles this year Eastwood's goals have helped his club to the brink of promotion and looks set to be playing in England's second tier next season he the Shrimpers can hold onto his services that is.

Already a legend in Southend because of his scoring record and his winner against Lincoln City in the Playoff Final last season, it seems as if Eastwood is a major reason behind the success of the blues this year.
