Brentford 2 - 2 Huddersfield

Sadly for Brentford todays game against Huddersfield was a stark reminder of what cost them a place in the Championship last season.

Having got themselves into a great position to win with a last minute goal from Jo Kuffour, the bees defence switched off and allowed Luke Beckett space in the area to gain his side a point. Having conceeded over ten goals in the last five minutes of games last season Brentford will be disapointed they did not fully captialise on their lead in a tight game.

Brentford had taken the lead in the 70 minute through Kuffour, the former Torquay player netting his first in bees colours. Pegged back moments later Brentford thought they had won it through the forward man however the late strike condemmed Brentford to their second successive draw but kept up their unbeaten League One record.

What the manager said?
Leroy Rosenior was understandably disapointed that his side could not claim all three points but was pleased with his sides efforts,

"We started better today and I was delighted when we went in front because I think we deserved it."

"After Jo got his second I think we just fell asleep and it was disapointing that we conceeded that late goal."

What the fans said?
Bees supporter Sam Johnson told me she was happy with a point,

"I would have obviously been delighted with three but we should take a positive out of this game and and though it was two points lost at least we got something."

Rory McLeish was slightly less pleased with the side performance and said,

"Their late goal was an accident waiting to happen."

"I cant believe professional players allow themselves to switch off like that."

"As far as I'm concerned the players should be read the riot act for that."
