Another three points at Griffin Park today saw Brentford move three points clear in second place today after an excellent home win against fourth placed Barnsley.

With two games in hand, the bees are now only six points behind leaders Southend who won 2-0 last night and now automatic promotion is a real possibility for West Yorkshire's League One representative.

In a tight game, the bees got the early goal through captain Ricky Newman and soon went 2-0 ahead through Owusu. The away side pulled one back but a penalty from the Bees Ghanian striker secured the three points and an impressive win to send out a message as to their attentions for the rest of the season.
