Fans of Brentford coming away from yeovil tonight will have been delighted that their side scraped through after a nervy game ended 2-1 in the Bees favour.

Playing one of their three games in hand on many of the top sides, the bees were ahead early on through Rankin. Though pegged back, injury returnee Alex Rhodes tapped home the crucial winner to life Martin Allen's side up for places in the race for the Championship.

What the manager said?

Martin Allen was delighted with the clubs play in the game tonight and their determination,

"I think it was a tough game for us but I'm pleased we came through"

"They made us work hard but we battled on and I think on the balance of play we deserved the three points."

Delighted for his winning goal scorer he said,

"Alex has worked hard in recent months, it has been a long road to recover but hopefully this goal will be the first of plenty he has to offer Brentford FC."
