With Stuart Nelson completing ninety minutes for the first time in 2007, Brentford goalkeeper Nathan Abbey realises that soon he may well have a battle on his hands for the position of stopper.

Abbey was brought in to cover for the absense of first and second choice Stuart Nelson and Clark Masters but with the number one jersey currently in his posession, Nathan seems determined not to give it up.

Speaking to the official website he spoke of his frutstrations at last week's results against Northampton and Bradford. On his clubs visit to Valley Parade he said,

"It's so frustrating that decisions like that can cost you three points in such a crucial game."

"It wasn't a penalty."
he explained,

"There was no contact, the more you watch it the worse a decision it looks."

Abbey however remains confident on the Bees survival hopes and even talked up their chances of gaining a suprise victory from this weekends game with Scunthorpe,

"We are still full of confidence going into every game. Scunthorpe will be tough opponents. but we'll set out stall out and we believe that we can we."

"Obviously we respect them because they have done well and deserve to be top, but we certainly won't be in awe."
he continued.

"The result from last week just makes us more determined. The gaffer has talked of 'cup finals' and he's right - we have to take each match as it comes and pick up as many points as we possibly can."

"We'll keep scrapping and I know we can get out of danger."
