Aftermath of the Bristol City Game

After the Bee's moved back on track this afternoon with a 1-0 win over Bristol City we spoke to the people involved and took a look round what the experts had to day about the game.


What the squad said?
Martin Allen was delighted with the victory however took his usual cautious approach to pushing on towards the playoffs,

"It was a good victory but it was only worth 3 points, we have to remember that, we've been stuttering of late but i hope this can help steady the ship"

To the official website he said of Marcus Gayle,

"It's been 11 years since he played for the club and i'm pleased that he got his game today because of Eddie's withdrawl, he showed exactly why we bought him into the club"

Goalkeeper Stuart Nelson also spoke to reporters after the game saying,

"the lads did very well today it was a tough game, Bristol are a good side but i always fancied us to win"

Todays winning goalscorer Sam Sodje also added,

"I'm was very happy to score today, because tyhe goal came early i think it settled us down a bit and we came though the rest of the game without really breaking stride.

What the experts said?
BBC.co.uk - Praised both sides on an entertaining game, reporting that a draw would probably have been a fairer result. Both teams had chances but the Bee's managed to take the only clear one of the game

Teamtalk.com - Agreed that a draw would have been a fairer result in this encounter of some quality, both sides looked composed and created several half chances but nothing clear cut.

ESPN.com - Praised the bees after a stuttering few weeks, said the red and whites deserved to win the game and reported that the whole side played well throughout.

Griffinpark.org - Yet to decide man of the match for this weeks game, but have quicky turned attention to the Tranmere game.
