Akinde, 20, has joined on a one-month loan deal from Bristol City and made his bow in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Gillingham.
"It was a good win and a good performance by the boys," he said.
"I was disappointed I didn't score but hopefully that will come.
"My aim is to come here and help Brentford up the table. I want to bring goals and I want to try to get as many as possible."
