Of his five new signings over the summer, it seems as though the Bees fans have already found themselves a potential hero in the short time that he has been around.
Since signing from Reading over a month ago Paul Brooker has scored two goals and assisted three. His passing and creativity have not only struck a chord with the Bees faithful but also with the manager who believes Brooker can achieve great things,
"I'm very pleased with him, he's a good player and he can make a difference in the final third."
The 28-year old was a player Allen had been interested in for a while and he beat off tough competition for his signature, only time will tell whether Brooker can be the major influence on the team which Allen feels he can be.
