Only one game has gone since the departure of DJ Campbell and with the club yet to feel the after affects it is impossible to see whether the club can live without the pacey striker.

Speaking in a press conference this morning teh subject was raised with Allen and he told the media that his team is about more than one player,

"We still have many excellent professionals here. Of course Dudley will be missed he's gone now and we can't dwell on that"

Campbell was signed by Allen during the Summer before his shock move to Birmingham but the Brentford boss said he was not suprised that a Premiership team came knocking sooner or later,

"He is quick as well as being an excellent finisher."

"He has a tremendous work rate and has massive self-belief. He has no fear and I think he will do very well - he just needs to be given an opportunity."

"It would be wrong of me to deny any of my players an oppertunity in this way and it shows how far along Brentford have come that Premiership clubs have been scouting our players."
