Speaking to the surrounding Brentford manager Martin Allen spoke on the clubs playoff 'battle' with Sheffield Wednesday, on Teatalk.com Allen said,

"Wednesday are the favourites. They are expected to win. They are far bigger clubs than us and they will have a sell-out crowd behind them but that has not stopped us in the past and it won't stop us in the future."

"Sheffield Wednesday are a massive club but we will be ready and our players have shown in the FA Cup that they can compete with the best teams in this division and good teams from higher divisions."

After watching a very inexperienced practically reserve side beat 2nd place Hull yesterday Allen said on his young players,

"They were absolutely fantastic and you would never have dreamed that a lot of them were making their debuts. It's been an amazing season for us. I forecast that we would get sixth place but what I did not expect was the improvement and development so soon of so many young players."
