Brentford boss Martin Allen spoke positively to the press over the weekend about what he felt were his sides chances come next season.

After seeing Sheffield Wednesday who overcame Brentford in the semi final, win through yesterday in Cardiff, Allen is eager for his Bees to have similar success next season.

"There has been no time for moaning and groaning and walking around with a long face" he told the official website.

"It is my responsibility to ensure that we put together a good squad of players for next season."

Martin Allen also ensured his rivals that next season would see the Bees pushing for a place in the Championship,

"Everyone is talking about holidays and breaks but this is the time to nail the deals. Without a shadow of a doubt we are going to have a good team on the pitch when it all kicks off on August 6."
