After bringing in five players already to bolster his squad to 18 first team professionals Allen is keen to continue adding to his relatively inexperienced squad in an attempt to repeat the success of last season.
Rumours surrounding Swindon player Sammy Igoe have been cooled after the signing of Paul Brooker on Friday, it is believed that with around 7 or 8 midfielders in the squad Allen is ready to strengthen his defsense or his strike force.
If it were to be his forward line which was improved then this could mean Brentford re-signing Lloyd Owusu who is being allowed to leave on a free by his club after becomming surplus to requirements.
As usual Allen is playing his cards close to his chest but it is believed that more signings will follow his announcement on Monday as to make sure they can challenge next season Brentford need to cover for the tiredness and injuries which holted their bit in May 2005.
