Bees begin new manager search

Sitting in lowly 20th place, having not won in 16 games and seeing their manager departing at the weekend, understandably there is a grey cloud hanging over Brentford Football Club.

Statements galore from the club this weekend have indicated that the board are willing to leave Scott Fitzgerald in charge of the club until the 'perfect' man for the job can be found. Starting their search for the next Brentford manager the club have posted an advert for a new boss on their official website this morning.

The bees are clearly looking to stabalise for the future and with the long term goal of eventually achieving financial regularity there are specific requirements which the club has clearly laid out. The advert itself gives some clues as to prehaps the type of manager which Brentford are looking for as the profile in the job application states that the new manager must fit the following criteria:

- Experience of survival campaigns in professional football
- Proven ability to own and manage a limited budget and successful conduct negotiations
- A track record of finding & developing young talent
- Influential contacts/networks. Good knowlege of lower leagues.
- Has gained respect within the game for tactical versatility, holding a minimum of UEFA A License.

The above points show that Brentford are indeed looking for a manager to can first off all help them through their troubles this season before building the clubs infrastructure. Though it appears as Dyke said yesterday that 'there is no money available', and that the manager will have to be an expert scouter of players in the lower league and be able to combine this by developing the talent which the bees already posess in their academies.

No names have been mentioned as yet regarding the vacant situation but it is believed that the bees are hoping to have named their manager by the start of December meaning that the new manager could be unveiled at either the Doncaster game (December 5th) or at home to Tranmere (December 9th).
