Downed 2-0 last night against Cheltenham, Brentford were unable to halt a shocking run of seventeen games without a win and gift caretaker manager Scott Fitzgerald a win in his first game since taking over from Leroy Rosenior.

A series of poor results cost the bees previous manager his job and Heywood admitted that last night that it was the 'same old story' despite the change in management,

"It was the same old story in that you cannot fault anybody's efforts but one again we are on the wrong side of the result and how long can we keep saying that."

He accepted that Brentford's confidence was low and admitted that right now it isn't happening for his team,

"The training has been good all week and we have worked really hard. But tonight, once again, there was no end product."

"At the moment we don't even look like scoring and are struggling to keep clean sheets at the other end. That tells the story."
