Bees extend Leary loan

Brentford manager Scott Fitzgerald tied up a bit of business today on what is the last day of trading before the transfer window closes.

Having signed numerous players during the thirty one day period, the Brentford manager is believed to have his squad set for the basement battle which Brentford are facing.

This morning howeve Fitzgerald extended the loan of Luton Town midfielder Michael Leary until the end of the season. The player borrowed from the Championship club has made four appearences for Brentford so far since joining and has impressed Fiztgerald with his energy and commintment,

"I'm delighted that Michael wanted to stay with us until the end of the season," said Fitzgerald.

"Mike Newell has been absolutely brilliant in making it happen. Michael has shown in his performances that he has the appetite to get involved and has the desire to want to help us get out of the position we find ourselves in."
