There was always bound to be changes after the second playoff semi final defeat in two years and it was always going to be tough call as who was going to stay and who was going to go.

After a meeting with the board yesterday it appears that Martin Allen is still considering his future at the club, but whoever will be in charge at the big kick off they will certainly have to invest in some new players after the bees released eight of their already thin squad.

Giving free transfers to Michael Dobson, Ricky Newman, Scott Fitzgerald and Paul Brooker he has begun the rebuilding process which all outside the club believe is extermely necessary if the club wish to make the step up to the Championship.

Allen also told Bankole, Hutchinson, Lewis and Marcus Gayle that he cannot offer them deals but confirmed he will be discussing deals for new contracts with Kevin O'Connor and Michael Turner, both of whom have impressed this season.

He did not however comment on the future of Sam Sodje but on Jay Tabb said,

"Jay Tabb has stated his wish to play at a higher level and I accept and respect that, he is a fine player. If no move for him materializes then he will be part of the teams plan for next season."

On Darren Pratley's future he said,

"Darren Pratley has been offered a one year contract by Fulham and through the summer we will have to review the situation."

Other changes are expected with the sales of several players and the confirming ofdeals for several of Brentford's youngsters but this will all be sorted at a later date.
