Bees defensive stalwarts in the last couple of seasons, the pair have been plagued by injury this week but came through the reserve game on Tuesday afternoon, whilst the game also gave Fitzgerald a chance to give apperence to a number of trialists.
The boss said,
"It was a good workout for everyone, and a chance for Matty and Stuart to get some more minutes under their belt."
He continued,
"Matt is still not fully fit but he's getting there, he was on the bench last Saturday purely to make up the numbers."
Fitzgerald refused to comment on any of the trialists but stated,
"There were several trialists who were involved but I won't name any at this stage, althought I can say that one of the boys is a South Korean under-21 International"
