A second inspection was carried out following a torrential downpour on Saturday morning and the pitch was deemed unplayable.
Brentford's Acting CEO David Heath told his club's official website: "Obviously we are very disappointed not to have played. We have done everything possible including the use of a water removal machine for the last two-and-a-half days.
"We must thank Phil Fifield and his team for their tremendous hard work but unfortunately Mother Nature has won the day."
No new date has yet been arranged.
