Bennett's first-team opportunities have been limited this term, despite being handed the club captaincy in the summer, but is expected go straight into the side for the Chairboys' game against Millwall on Saturday.
The defender began his career by spending seven years at Cork City before moving to England in 2007 with Reading, and has twice represented his native Republic of Ireland.
