Determined not to lose top scorer after so much high praise in recent times, Scott Fitzgerald confirmed today that he will be launching an appeal against the red card issued to the striker during the final five minutes of the weekends game against Bradford.

If successful Kuffour would be available for the three games following this weeks clash with Scunthorpe as the appeal is likey to push any ban which he may have been issued with until next week.

Fitzgerald said,

"I don't think Kuffour has been booked all season as I was pretty suprised."

He continued to protest his players innocence saying,

"From what I saw of it I didn't think it was a sending off. Jo had his eyes fixed firmly on the ball and didn't take them off it once. I've watched the replay and from that it is clear."
