Boxall, who has only just come back from a long term injury has decided to join the Pirates of Bristol Rovers in Division Three.

Danny Boxall made 62 appearences for the Bees after signing on a free from Crystal Palace.

Boxall is quoted as saying "The ambition of the club (Bristol Rovers) met mine. I got a lot to prove to everyone now that I’ve been injured. I’ve lost two years of good money and I’m not too sure where Brentford are going so I wanted a certain two years. It was nice to get the feeling of being wanted again. It’s been a hard slog getting back. The team was doing so well and I wasn’t getting a look in."

"I think I needed a fresh start. I don’t think I showed everyone my best form at Brentford. When I first came to the club I was a bit weary of the fans but they did take to me in the end, as I got my own song. I made a name for myself playing first team football, which I didn’t do at Palace. I really enjoyed it at Brentford, a family club. Ray Lew, Bully and Steve Coppell have been good to me."
