Brentford FC press release

Last updated : 19 February 2002 By Brentford FC

Mr. Tana joined the Board in 1974 and during his years of service spent 7 years as Chairman. However due to other commitments he has decided to resign. Mr. Tana will now be able to devote more of his time to his duties with UEFA, the Yugoslav FA and Red Star Belgrade, a club for whom he played.

Mr. Miller joined the Board in 1998 and has long been associated with Altonwood Limited, the majority shareholder of Brentford FC Limited, in his capacity as Director and Company Secretary.

Mr. Miller has been a friend and colleague of Chairman Mr. Ron Noades for approximately 45 years and during that time has been a Director of both Wimbledon Football Club and Crystal Palace Football Club.

The Club is disappointed that Mr. Miller, with his vast knowledge of both football and the running of football clubs generally, has felt the need to resign from the Board especially given that fact that he cites:

"I am dismayed by certain comments made by some faction of the supporters of the Club not only to myself but to the Board generally and bearing in mind that Altonwood Limited, a company with whom I have been associated for some twenty years, has, in my opinion been wrongly criticised by such supporters and that I wish to retire generally from my business life and specifically my involvement in football, I have decided to resign as a Director of the Company".
