Brentford forum coming up

Last updated : 14 March 2006 By Smallsy
Since the restructuring of the club in the Summer, fans forums have become something of a regularity, as have Q and A sessions, infact meetings of any sort have taken place left, right and centre in and around TW8, Bees HQ this season.

However Bees are most concerned by this week because of humours circulating about the clubs difficult financial position. Top of the adgenda the clubs financial problems, a subject which despite the take over of a new board seems to be hotly debated around the West London club.

The facts are as stated in the forum and on the rivals.co.uk website for Brentford, an estimated 9.5 million is owed and the club is forecasting losses in the region of half a millions pounds for this season.

Bees fans are beginning to question even after a re-shuffling and refinancing of the club, a cup run and selling a top asset, how can the bees still be in trouble. And what would the financial situation bee if we were struggling at the wrong end of the League?

The fact is that since the takeover all fundraising has disapeared, there is no way that everyone can believe that the bees are out of the woods, and this has definately been stated as the case put towards thursdays meeting.

Unfortunately there is still a real posibility that Brentford FC will face non existence at the start of next season and it is something which I am sure has not been lost sight of by members of the bees exterior supporters.

The long term financial future of the club is clearly still not sorted and I urge all fans of the club and anyone else who can make it to take a moment out to visit the meeting whenever it is held as it will be interesting to hear the views and perspectives of the people who run the club.
