Brentford ready to name new boss?

Having seen his Brentford side slip to the bottom of the table despite a potentially season turning point against Tranmere at Griffin Park, managing director Keith Dickens hinted that the bees could be ready to name their new manager following the weekends game with Port Vale.

With Fitzgerald gaining his first positive result of the season at the weekend he is very much in the running according to Dickens who refused to rule out speculation surrounding the job last week.

"Our intent is to move as quickly as possible"

"But this is so important, and we are focused on selecting and persuading the best available candidate.

"We won't hesitate to take the right time for the right person."
