Brentford caretaker Scott Fitzgerald, made the first signing of his interim period in charge by bringing in young midfielder Sim Cox on loan following a succesful recovery from a broken leg.

The 19 year old sustained the injury in a game against Millwall, but has played for the Premiership teams reserve side and come through without any reactions. Rosenior originally signed the midfielder and Fitzgerald saw it right to bring im back in on a short term loan basically continuing the deal he was already on before the injury.

Fitzgerald said,

"I was keen to get Simon back now he has proved his fitness in two reserve games at Reading."

"He typifies the attitude I'm looking for and expecting to get from the players, and that is one full of passion. The fact that he has overcome the injury so quickly shows that he has the spirit and determinated needed to succeed and could prove to be an inspiration to others."

Following the move, Cox himself said,

"The leg is fully healed now and I've played a coupld of games since is happened. I really enjoyed the loan at Brentford, and alothough the results weren't great I was playing well and enjoying my football."

"I'm just looking frward to getting back and playing some competetive football to try and lift this team out of the bottom four."
