Brentford manager Scott Fitzgerald made yet another move in the transfer market today as he signed goalkeeper Nathan Abbey on a permenant basis from Torquay.

The goalkeeper had previously been at Brentford on a week to week contract but Scott Fitzgerald today moved to sign the player as injury still robs him of Stuart Nelson and Clark Masters.

Having played in the solitary win for the club since September Abbey is expected to be named in goal for the game against Carlisle this weekend and on his aquasition Fitzgerald said,

"I am pleased to have secured the services of Nathan until the end of the season. It's important, as during the continued absense of Stuart Nelson, is would be unfair to rely solely on the services of Clark Masters."
