Brentford sign Griffiths

Brentford Football Club today announced the third signing of the Leroy Rosenior reign as trialist Adam Griffiths signing was secured after an excellent performance during the weekends game and after impressing in training.

The Australian born defender signed a one year contract this morning, with a one year option and joins Jo Kuffour and Chris Moore through the Griffin Park gates.

The 26 years old had a short spell with Watford in 2005 before joing Bournmouth in January 2006, where he also recieved very little first team action. As mentioned Adam was on trial at Brentford and played alongside Andrew Frampton against Stains on Saturday.

The Brentford manager said of his new signing,

"Adam's got a lot of potential and gives us balance in defence. He hasnt played many games in England, but has planety of playing experience in Australia and Belgium. He's six foot three and great in the air, it will give us strength in a position that needes strengthening."

Griffiths becomes the first defender to be signed by Rosenior and is expected to take over the squad number of departed centre back Michael Turner.
