Missing suspended striker Jo Kuffour at the weekend and still suffering from a long injury list, Brentford manager Scott Fitzgerald confirmed that he is on the look out for players at this late stage of the season.

He revealed that his primary concern is to sign a striker who he hopes can shoot Brentford back up the table,

"I've been trying to get a striker in, thats no secret."

"I've been on the phone 24/7. I've got money available but if people don't want to come then I can't force them."

He revealed that signing players he hopes is an ongoing process to strengthen not only for this season but also next,

"If we were winning every week, I'd still try and get better players in. Strikers are important though as it could be the determining factor between going up and going down."

Commenting on the current injury situation he said,

"Lloyd is nowhere near it at the moment. He isn't the answer."

"There has been a virus thats going round before the Scunthorpe game and we've just had another two go down with it. Neil shouldn't have played at the weekend and Charlie has just been sick after the game"
