Brentford boss Leroy Rosenior comfirmed the signing of 19-year old Simon Cox from Reading on a one month long loan deal.

Cox is yet to start for the Royals so far this season but has made several substitute appearences during his time with the Premiership club.

The boss had been looking to bring in some loan signings to bolster his squad after repeatidly stating that his squad was still too small following the closure of the transfer window.

Simon, who can play in midfield or upfront, may be the first of several moves which Rosenior makes during this busy part of the season and on his new player he said,

"Simon is strong, he can pass the ball an he can score goals - from midfield or attack. He gives us two options and that is something we need in the squad."

With several key players still out injured Cox goes straight into the Bees squad to face Swansea at Griffin Park.
