Brentford v Peterborough United (03/05/03)

Bees manager, Wally Downes has been boosted on the eve of the last game of the season against Barry Fry's in-form Peterborough United with the news that star central defender Roget has agreed terms to stay at the club for another year.

Roget is back in the squad for tomorrow's fixture after serving a three match suspension following his sending off against Cheltenham Town at the beginning of April.

Meanwhile, Downes also welcomes back regular goalkeeper Paul Smith to the starting line-up at the expense of rookie Alan Julian, who played in the narrow 1-0 defeat at Glyn Hodges' Barnsley last weekend.

The Bees complete a campaign that started promisingly but tailed off rather, especially after the 3-0 FA Cup Fourth Round home defeat to Burnley in January, looking for revenge against a Posh side that inflicted the Bees heaviest defeat of the season, a 5-1 thrashing back at their London Road ground last September, without influential midfielders Eddie Hutchinson (calf) and Martin Rowlands (fractured fibula).

On loan strikers Rowan Vine and Mickael Antoine-Curier are both expected to make their last appearances in Brentford's colours.
