Brentford vs Leicester: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Leicester City will be looking to keep their good run of form going when they travel to Brentford on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes have secured impressive comeback victories over Manchester United and Spartak Moscow in their last two games but need to keep this momentum going after their shaky start to the season.

Their opponents, the Bees, are this campaign's surprise package in the Premier League and they were seriously unlucky not to beat Chelsea last weekend.

Brentford team news

Thomas Frank has a couple of long-term injuries to contend with ahead of the visit of Leicester.

Yoane Wissa and Vitaly Janelt are out but should be back for Brentford's next game against Burnley, while Mads Bech Sorensen, Josh Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste will be out for longer.

None of these knocks are new, so Brentford could name an unchanged starting XI from the Chelsea game.

Tielemans may miss out | James Williamson - AMA/GettyImages

In a big blow for Leicester ahead of this one, talisman Youri Tielemans was forced off with a calf strain against Spartak and could be rested.

Wilfred Ndidi, James Justin and Wesley Fofana remain out, while Marc Albrighton will be missing too after he was on the end of a terrible tackle on Thursday.

Patson Daka scored four in the same game, but even that may not be enough to displace one of Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy in the lineup.

Brentford vs Leicester head-to-head record

The recent history of meetings between these two sides is interesting. They had not met since 1993 before being drawn together in successive FA Cup fourth rounds in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

The Foxes won both games, the second en route to winning the competition.

Leicester's dominance has been a common theme when the pair have squared off in the past too, with Brentford winning just six of 29 previous fixtures. Most were a very long time ago, though.

Brentford vs Leicester score prediction

Sunday will see two of the best finishers in the Premier League, Jamie Vardy and Ivan Toney, square off.

This, combined with both manager's positive approach, should result in an entertaining game for the neutrals with plenty of goals.

Brentford have been seriously impressive of late, but we think that recent results mean Leicester will enter this one with a real spring in their step. A lot will depend on whether Tielemans passes a late fitness test, but even without the Belgian we can see Brendan Rodgers' side doing the business here.

Prediction: Brentford 2-3 Leicester City
