Eager to join the full time professional womens football league in England Brentford's women are aiming to compete with the likes of Arsenal and Charlton.

The bees women this morning agreed to sign a deal which merges them with Viking LFC. This allows Brentford to enjoy security at the home ground of avenue park (former Viking's home) whilst the players, coaches and other support staff are looking forward to merging and potentially achieving more than they could have individually.

Viking agreed to give up their name in favour of the more famous Brentford and the new club will enjoy the support of Brentford Fc and it's community programme.

Amy Crook, Brentford's women and girls development officer said,

"Bringing together the best of both clubs has created the potential for a fantastic league team capable of challenging for honours in the newly created women's pyramid"

Continued development is expected over the next few weeks and we will report of more changes when they are made.
