Swindon Town today announced that their midfielder Aaron Brown rejected a move to Brentford this week, instead heading to Doncaster Rovers to attempt to win a contract with Dave Penney's men.

The midfielder failed to make the Robin's trip to Ibiza and Dennis Wise today said,

"Aaron came to see me a long time ago when I first arrived here. He said it was nothing to do with the change of management, just that he felt he could play at a lot higher level."

"I said okay, that's your choice. And if a player doesn't want to be here then I'm not going to keep him here."

However it appears that despite the oppertunity to play his football at Griffin Park next year the midfielder chose a move to the North instead,

"He had an opportunity to go to Brentford but he turned it down because he thinks he could probably get a better club .

"I think he's got the opportunity to train with Doncaster Rovers so he's there this week. That's it really."
