Will Burton be re-signed just 4 weeks after his release?
After his release at the beginning of June Deon Burton like many other footballers this summer was set the difficult task of finding a new club.

Like many others his search has been a fruitless one, despite offers on the table the Jamacian International is yet to find any which suit him.

When the player was released Martin Allen said,

"Deon may return for pre season depending on his ability to find a new club"

It seems as though the boss kept his promise as Deon Burton was today invited back to the club to help train and gain fitness for the new season, a member of the backroom staff said,

"Martin thought it would be a nice gesture seeing as Deon hasn't found himself a new club yet, he's welcome to stay and train with us for the whole summer if necessary, its a way of thaning him for the excellent service he's given us"

There are no indications as to whether Allen is interested in re-signing the player after signing Owusu and DJ Campbell and yesterday selling Harrold there may still be a rotation place in the squad for last season's top scorer although it is believed also that Mr Burton may have to drop his wage demands as that was the main reason he was released.

We wait to hear from Martin in the near future if he has decided what to do with Deon although it is likely to be dependant on his performance during pre season training.
