Butcher announces 07/08 squad plans

Preparing themselves for a campaign in League Two next season Terry Butcher and his assistant Andy Scott have been busy making changes to the Brentford playing squad.

Admitting that no players 'need' to leave in order to bring fresh faces in Butcher has released several players in a bid to get the squad he feels can challenge for thr title next season.

Butcher announced that he has made a 'signifcant' offer to top scorer Jo Kuffour to keep him at Griffin Park next season and has also offered a new deal to Alex Rhodes who is believed to be being given one last chance at Brentford.

Brentford have also taken up options of a second year on the contracts of Clark Masters, Darius Charles, Karleigh Osbourne and Charlie Ide but have released a number of regular first team players, who are as follows:

Thomas Pinault
Adam Griffiths
Lloyd Owusu
Neil Shipperley
Joe Keith
Calum Willock
Nathan Abbey

Garry Richards and Michael Leary have returned to their parent clubs whilst the Bees have offered scholars Lewis Dark and Ross Montague their first professional contracts.
